PARADE PARTICIPANT CODE OF CONDUCT:
Santa Claus
Santa Claus: Only the Santa provided by the parade committee is allowed. Please do not include any other Santa's in your entry.
Safety
No Open Flames: For everyone's safety, open flames are not permitted in the parade.
Music: If you plan to play music, indicate this on your entry form. Music must be Christmas Related. Horns and sirens are not allowed.
Float Conduct: Stay on your float or off it—no transferring on or off during the parade.
Vehicle Limit: Each entry can have up to 6 vehicles. Indicate the number of vehicles on your submission form and keep them in a single line. Stopping during the parade is not allowed.
Vehicle Restrictions: No Semi Trucks (18-Wheelers). No Trailers Longer than 40 Feet.
Family-Friendly Guildelines
Appropriate Content: This is a family parade. All décor and messages should be suitable for children. Inappropriate behavior or content will not be tolerated.
Personal beliefs, including those related to politics, religion, or other sensitive topics, should not be expressed in a way that detracts from the celebration of the event.
Christmas Theme: All entries should align with the Christmas theme. Political messages or solicitations of any kind are not permitted.
Entry Guidelines
Evaluation of Entries: Entries will be evaluated based on entertainment value and connection to the parade theme. The Parade Committee reserves the right to refuse any entry. You will be notified if your entry is not accepted.
Submission Deadline: Entry applications must be received by November 22, 2024. Late entries may be denied.
Entry Types: All parade entries should aim to entertain—whether through a float, band, unique display, or performance. Businesses advertising a service should decorate their entries in line with the Christmas theme. Businesses may also sponsor musical or other types of entries and will receive appropriate recognition. All participants must be affiliated with a business, organization, or group. Families or individuals will be considered based on their entry submission.
Conduct and Safety
Candy and Items: Throwing candy or items during the parade is not allowed. Walkers may hand out candy only, nothing attached. No Brochures, flyer, literature, coupons, pins or swag.
Float Height: Floats cannot exceed 14 feet in height.
Alcohol: Consumption of alcoholic beverages in the staging area or on the parade route is strictly prohibited. Violations will result in immediate removal from the parade.
Show Respect: Please be respectful and courteous to everyone in the parade and the community. This is a special time for families, and we want to maintain a festive and positive atmosphere.
Positive Behavior: Negative behavior towards other participants or community members will not be tolerated. Such actions may result in your group being asked to leave the parade.
Clean-Up: Each unit is responsible for removing any trash created in the staging area before the parade begins.
